Talent Development Seminar 1 2025

Date: Sunday 2nd February 2025
Time: 8am – 12 noon
Where: Mt Warren Sports Stadium, 2 Milne St, Mt Warren Park
Cost: $25 includes – 4 hours of Classes with Skate Australia Accredited Coaches.

Please note, the 4 hours will include change over times between classes & a group photo.
Classes will be split between appropriate skating levels.

General Information

Thank you to everyone who got involved and supported our Talent Development Camps 2019/2020/2021/2022/2023/2025

  • All skaters are still welcome and encouraged to attend.
  • All skaters’ must be competitive members of Skate Australia, and their memberships MUST be entered on the Skate Australia database by the closing date of nominations.
  • Skaters must have completed all required SIA modules and these must be uploaded to the club folder in One Drive.

Refunds

Please note: There will be no refunds unless seminar is cancelled by the organiser. Doctor’s certificate may be considered.

Spectators

Parents and other people who have not paid to be involved in the seminar will be asked to remain in the canteen area. There is no photography – still or video – by anyone in the stands. Only skaters
and accredited coaches who have registered for the seminar together with commissioned officials will be permitted near the skating area.

ALL SPECTATORS/PARENTS/GUARDIANS TO REMAIN IN SNACKBAR/CANTEEN AREA.

Photography

  • Only Photography at Seminars for coach education.
  • Only coaches can photograph or video their own skaters during any classes.
  • Coaches may video skaters who are demonstrating for their own educational purposes in general classes however the video may NOT be posted to any open social media platform.
  • Skaters may be videoed by event organisers or the Technology committee for use in judging or educating officials.

Coaches

Coaches, there is no charge to attend as a current accredited coach if your club has 3 or more skaters registered and are a QAACC member. Coaches are required to register with QATC prior to the seminar on the registration document. Coaches must have a current valid blue card linked to Skate QLD Artistic and completed all required certificates and modules as per document – Certificates required. The SIA Certificate must be uploaded to the Club One Drive. All coaches must hold a coach membership of Skate Australia, and their membership MUST be entered on the Skate Australia database by the closing date of nominations.

All coaches who are currently completing their Intermediate Accreditation are also invited provided they have completed all certificates, hold a blue card (if required) and have completed the accreditation days in January and have completed the set number of hours. They must also have completed the practical requirements, exam and workbook to be able to attend.
