Developing Skating Talent despite COVID

January 24, 2022

Pine Rivers Rollercade joined other clubs in Queensland on Sunday, for our very first Talent Development Camp for 2022 and what a start to the year it was!

Along with our talented pool of coaches, we also welcomed special guest Jayson Sutcliffe, former World Champion and Australian Artistic Rollerskating icon.

He left us all feeling inspired and motivated to tackle the year ahead, encouraging us to never give up and lose focus on the greater plan.

“If you fail to plan, you plan to fail” was his quote of the morning and how fitting it was.

Due to the current impacts from COVID-19, we joined each other using an online forum on Zoom.

It just goes to show, no matter what challenges are thrown our way, we don’t shy away from opportunities to develop ourselves!

With just under 100 attendees, it was the first of many Talent Development Camps for 2022. Keep pushing, keep positive and keep rolling!

Our competitive Artistic Rollerskating club produces National and International Champions in the disciplines of Dance, Free Dance, Figures & Quartet.
