Artistic Rollerskating is truly a sport for all ages. Our club members range in age from four years to over sixty, with members rediscovering their passion either for the first time or after an absence. Like riding a bike, roller skating is a skill you never forget.
Under the umbrella term of Artistic Rollerskating, there are many different disciplines including Dance, Freedance, Freeskating, Figures, Couples Dance, Pairs Freeskating, Precision and Quartet. At Pine Rivers Rollercade, our highly accredited coaching team specialise in Dance, Freedance, Quartets & Couples Dance, as well as Figures and Freeskating.
The pathway to artistic rollerskating usually begins with a learn to skate class.
Conducted on Saturday morning from 9-10am, at Skateaway Albany Creek. It is taught by our team of experienced coaches. Please see Skateaway’s website for more information.
The Artistic Development Program, held on Saturday afternoons at Albany Creek Skateaway, is available to any skater who completes the requirements of the Learn to Skate Star 3 level. The Artistic Development Program develops skater skills in figures, dance, free dance and quartet. Additional information is available on the Skateaway website.
While most of our members are on the younger side, we also have a thriving community of Masters Skaters, many of whom have taken up the sport later in life.
Skateaway’s Adult Learn to Skate Program is the ideal introduction to Artistic Skating. It will teach you the skills you need to begin your journey.
